Dr. Laszlo Rosivall, born in 1949, earned his medical degree summa cum laude from the University of Semmelweis in 1973. He went on to receive his Ph.D. in 1980 and his Doctor of Sciences degree in 1987. In the 1994/95 academic year, he served as the rector of Semmelweis University. He is currently the Director of the Institute of Pathophysiology and heads the Semmelweis University School of Doctoral Studies. Additionally, he is a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Mures. Dr. Rosivall has held guest researcher positions at various institutions, including Bergen, Alabama, Southern California, Harvard, Montpellier, Heidelberg, and Tulane University. He is also the founder of the Hungarian Kidney Foundation and the International School of Nephrology. He has supervised 23 Ph.D. candidates and has managed two additional Ph.D. theses, contributing significantly to the field of nephrology.

Mony Fraer graduated from the University of Medicine & Pharmacy in Romania. He currently holds the position of Clinical Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. His research focuses on the pathophysiology and management of acute kidney injury as well as renal pathology.

Ismail Khalaf is a Professor of Urology who graduated from Al Azhar University, where he also serves as a faculty member in the School of Medicine. His research focuses on various aspects of urology. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the African Journal of Urology and is a member of the Board of Chairmen for the International Society of Urology (SIU).

Area of research interest is in Urology.

Dr.Tomris Ozben, Ph.D., D.Sc., is a medical laboratory specialist currently serving as the Treasurer of the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC). She is also a board member of the IFCC Foundation for Emerging Nations (FEN) and a past president of the Balkan Clinical Laboratory Federation (BCLF). During her tenure at Akdeniz University, she has held several key roles, including Director of the Central Laboratory at Akdeniz University Hospital, Vice Rector, and Chairman of the Department of Clinical Biochemistry. Prof. Ozben has been actively involved in numerous scientific organizations, societies, committees, and councils, such as IFCC, FEBS, FESCC, and BCLF. She has been honored with distinguished scientist and outstanding service awards from Akdeniz University. Additionally, she has served on the editorial and advisory boards of various scientific journals. Prof. Ozben has authored over 180 research papers, contributed 11 book chapters, edited four books, and has been invited to speak at more than 200 international conferences.

I was born in Athens, Greece, in 1968. I earned my MD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and my PhD from Democritus University of Thrace, both in Greece. I completed my residency in Internal Medicine and my fellowship in Nephrology in Thessaloniki. Additionally, I received training in Peritoneal Dialysis at Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto, Canada, under the guidance of Dr. D. Oreopoulos, and in glomerular diseases at the Glomerular Center, Columbia University Medical School, NY, USA, under Dr. G. Appel. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Nephrology at the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension, 1st Department of Internal Medicine, AHEPA Hospital, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I am also involved with two editorial boards for international journals and have authored or co-authored more than 100 scientific papers as well as contributed to several chapters in international nephrology textbooks.

Dr. Ayunu Nakashima completed his PhD at Hiroshima University between 2004 and 2008. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Hiroshima University. His research focuses on chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD), circadian rhythms, and regenerative medicine. Dr. Nakashima is a member of the Science Council of the Japanese Society of Nephrology and serves as an editorial board member for Recent Patents on Endocrine, Metabolic & Immune Drug Discovery.

Dr. Walter Zidek earned his MD from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston in 1987. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago and his fellowship in Nephrology at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Zidek is currently a tenured Professor of Medicine and serves as the Director of the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Additionally, he is the Chief of the Section of Critical Care Nephrology and a faculty member in the Nephrology Section at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

From 1985 to 1990, I trained as a medical student in the Department of Medicine at Nanfang Medical University. After graduating, I began my medical career at Zhujiang Hospital, a teaching hospital affiliated with Nanfang Medical University in Guangzhou. Initially serving as a Resident and Teaching Assistant, and later as an Attending Doctor and Lecturer, I primarily worked in the Department of Nephrology. My role included clinical duties as well as teaching and research responsibilities. I spent a decade at Zhujiang Hospital before transitioning to a consultancy role in a high-tech medical instrument company in 2000. In 2004, I returned to the field of medicine and have since been practicing as a Nephrologist at the Department of Nephrology, Nanshan Hospital of Guangdong Medical College. In 2007, I was appointed Associate Chief Doctor, a position equivalent to Associate Professor. My recent research has focused on iron metabolism abnormalities and the management of renal anemia in chronic kidney disease.
