YOUSSEF EL GAMMAL was born in TANTA – EGYPT and completed his higher education in TANTA faculty of medicine, ROYAL college of surgeon, LONDON, EDINBURGH – UK, and MD in NIXON university - USA. He had been brilliant in his educational career and contributed a lot to success in his professional life. He is a physician doctor UROLOGIST and NEPHROLOGIST. He worked as a medical INTERN, SHO, SPECIALIST and CONSULANT in TANTA uni., TOLLAMOR general hospital – DUBLIN, royal hospital -SHARJAH -UAE and AJMAN speciality general hospital -UAE.,He have achieved many things as urologist and nephrologist and received many awards for his great contribution in publishing papers (e.g. a paper in XX11 congress of the EDTA-ERA about CAPD). He is the inspiration to many.

Consultant Paediatrician (1992-2010); Clinical Director of Paediatrics (1992-1998); Medical Director of Bury NHS Trust (1998-2003); Board Member of National Patient Safety Agency UK (2001-2003) (Now part of NHS Improvement) National Adviser for National Clinical Assessment Service (2003-2015) (Now part of NHS Resolution); National Adviser for Paediatric Complaints (CHAI – now called Care Quality Commission); Medical Director of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh FT (2010-2017); Senior Lecturer at Edgehill University. He was Twice nominated as the top 50 Influential/Pioneering BME leader 2013 and 2014. In 2017 he received Life Time achievement Award for work on Patient Safety Adviser to GMC, DOH, BMA, NCAS at various stages of my career on BME issues and inclusion and diversity.
